The 2008 Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance took place on Sunday, June 15 and was themed “Haute Wheels: Celebrating Car Couture,” showcasing over one hundred one-of-a-kind “couture” automobiles.
KABC-TV’s Dave Kunz acted as the Master of Ceremonies and presented five awards, including a 1956 Maserati Zagato awarded Mayor’s Award for Featured Theme, a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for the Chairman’s Award for Most Sporting Classic, a 1956 300 SC Coupe Mercedes given the Svend Ingerslev Award for Elegance, a 1962 Ferrari Super America for the Haute Couture Award for Most Fashionable Design, and a 1938 Dubonnet Hispano Xenia awarded the Rodeo Drive Award for Best in Show.
